If we want peace, the private sector needs to invest in strengthening the resilience and operational capabilities of our peacemaking organizations.

To mark International Women’s Day 2025 and the 25th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, Nagulendran Philanthropy Alliance recognizes the contributions of five, amongst the many, women-led peacemaking organizations with the award of Organizational Development Grants to Elman Peace, KRIS for Peace, Southeast Asian Women Peace Mediators, PeaceWomen Across the Globe and Strategic Advocacy for Human Rights.

Each of these inspiring non-governmental, non-profit, peacemaking organizations work tirelessly behind the scenes in carrying out their missions in support of peace and sustainable development. Whether it is through strengthening resilience amongst our youth, or convening safe spaces to foster dialogue and mutual understanding between conflict parties, or empowering vulnerable and marginalized communities through education and capacity building, each of these peacemaking organizations play an indispensable role in nurturing and building a more peaceful world.

The Organizational Development Grants provide flexible, unrestricted funding, enabling each of the peacemaking organizations to invest in their staff and organizations based on their needs, such as through professional leadership development and skills training, mental health and coaching support, and strengthening internal systems and operations.

The grants recognize that our peacemaking organizations cannot help those most in need within our communities unless we have first invested in strengthening their resilience and organizational capabilities.
